Parish Barbecue

Our annual Parish Barbecue will take place on Saturday 14th August. There will be a list at the back of church – please sign the list if you would like to come along. Because some of the regular helpers will be away some help would be really appreciated both to run the bar and to cook the food. If you can help please speak to Fr. Peter or Ethel and Ron Coy.

Cleator Pilgrimage

This year’s theme is: Mother of perpetual help, watch over our community. Particular intercession will be made for all those in our county affected by the recent tragic events. Mass and blessing of the sick begins at 3.00 p.m. The Bishop will preside, Fr Paul Swarbrick will preach. Teas will be provided in the Ennerdale Country House Hotel near the church, £6.95 per head. Readers at Mass

The Deanery Pastoral Council have organised a formation session for Readers. The date has been fixed for Saturday 16 October, 10.45am-1.00pm, at St Augustine's, led by Fr Geoffrey Steel. Will all readers make a note of this in their diaries and do their best to go along to what will be an interesting and informative session.
